Experience the heat of the glass furnace and learn how to make a solid, mini glass pumpkin! This mini pumpkin is solid glass with a swirled color center and a curly stem. Class is for ages 12 and up, persons under 18 will need a guardian present. Each class may have up to 4 participants. Classes take place on most Fridays and Saturdays, with start times ranging from 1pm-6:30pm. Fill out the form below or email sfgwashburn@gmail.com to request this class and we will reply with availability. Once a day/time is finalized, an invoice will be emailed to you to complete payment for the class. During this experience, with help from the instructor, you will be guided through the steps of making a solid mini pumpkin with a curly stem using the tools of the hot shop to manipulate and shape the glass to the desired shape and add color. Class takes place at the hot shop in Washburn with specific address and details included in the confirmation email after booking. Items will need to cool, so they can be picked up the next day, at a later date, or if needed they can be shipped for an additional cost. Safety glasses/glasses (extra pairs are available to use at the studio) and closed-toe shoes are required while in the studio, cotton clothing is recommended. Classes are non-refundable (minus a few exceptions). Refer to the Class Policies/FAQ page for more details and please read them prior to booking or attending a class. A liability waiver will also need to be signed prior which will be available at the studio or you may print one off to review/sign in advance (located on the FAQ page).
